They further allege that communal administrator Amedee MISAGO is among the investors involved in the project and owns around ten commercial premises at the market.<\/p><h3><strong>Shops Closed Two Days a Week<\/strong><\/h3><p>Since the opening of the new market, the communal administrator has reportedly asked traders operating in Mukoni to transfer their businesses there.<\/p><p>The traders say they refused, arguing that they should be free to choose where they conduct their commercial activities.<\/p><p>Following their refusal, a measure was reportedly introduced requiring shops and kiosks in Mukoni to close two days a week, every Monday and Thursday. On those days, traders are allegedly not allowed to operate in Mukoni and are directed to conduct their businesses at the \u201cKu rya Karusi\u201d market.<\/p><p>The measure has sparked anger and concern among the affected traders. They say it amounts to pressure and could negatively affect their businesses and income.<\/p><p>The traders have also raised concerns over a possible conflict of interest, arguing that the alleged involvement of the communal administrator in the new market project raises questions about the motives behind the decision.<\/p><p>They are calling on higher administrative authorities to intervene, hear their grievances and review the decision.<\/p><p>The traders are also calling for the measure to be suspended, arguing that it is harmful to their businesses and
