King Umurundi Freedom has taken note of the statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Digital Economy on June 24, 2026, following the information recently disclosed by our organization regarding the malfunctions affecting the PTBA software.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Our organization wishes to recall that its investigation, published on June 22, 2026, is based on multiple testimonies collected from staff members and technicians directly confronted with the difficulties encountered in the daily use of this platform. The information published was based neither on rumors nor speculation, but on facts reported by stakeholders directly involved within the administration.<\/p>

We take note of the fact that the Ministry itself acknowledges the existence of “certain occasional slowdowns” affecting budget management systems. We also note that the Ministry states that it has mobilized competent technical teams to ensure the availability of the platforms and the continuity of operations.<\/p>

However, this position raises legitimate questions:<\/p>

\ud83d\udd38 If the observed difficulties were limited to simple occasional slowdowns, why does the Ministry find it necessary to reinforce the deployment of technical teams in order to guarantee the continuity of operations?<\/p>

\ud83d\udd38 Why does the Ministry appear primarily focused on minimizing the scope of the reported malfunctions rather than providing detailed responses to the concerns raised by system users?<\/p>

Our organization further observes that, rather than denying the existence of the reported problems, the statement implicitly acknowledges that technical difficulties do indeed exist within the concerned platforms.<\/p>

Our investigation reported repeated disruptions, service interruptions, and technical difficulties directly affecting the work of public officials. These findings were not specifically challenged in the Ministry’s statement.<\/p>

Furthermore, the statement does not address concerns regarding the quality of the PTBA system, the services provided by MEDIABOX, or the issues raised by several users concerning the reliability of the platform. Yet, numerous testimonies collected during our investigation point to alleged technical shortcomings in the design, deployment, and support of the system\u2014issues that deserve clarification.<\/p>

Under these circumstances, some observers may legitimately wonder whether the official communication is primarily intended to reassure public opinion or to avoid a thorough discussion of potential responsibilities related to the difficulties encountered.<\/p>

King Umurundi Freedom reaffirms that its approach is guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance. Our organization remains open to any constructive dialogue and encourages the publication of detailed technical information that would allow for an objective assessment of the nature, extent, and causes of the reported malfunctions.<\/p>

Citizens have the right to know how public funds are being used and to receive clear answers whenever projects financed by the State or its partners encounter difficulties that may affect the functioning of public services.<\/p>
