Where were these men taken? Why would these former collaborators have become targets of the intelligence services? How was their abduction prepared? Which intelligence official may have orchestrated this operation? Which vehicle was used? Are they still alive?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

These are the main questions at the heart of the investigation conducted by the organization King Umurundi Freedom following the disappearance of Vincent NSENGIYUMVA and Anicet NSENGIYUMVA, two former collaborators of the Burundian intelligence services. The information gathered through our investigations helps to better understand the context of their disappearance as well as the circumstances that allegedly preceded it.<\/p>

We recall that Vincent NSENGIYUMVA, nicknamed \u201cMaster,\u201d and Anicet NSENGIYUMVA disappeared on 22 May 2026 while they were in Nyabugete I district, at an establishment known as MINO RESTO BAR<\/strong>, in the company of a man named Franck, presented as a collaborator of military intelligence (G2).<\/p>

According to previously published information, around 7:00 p.m., Anicet allegedly received a phone call asking him to come downstairs to meet someone. He then asked Vincent to accompany him.<\/p>

Who actually called Anicet at that moment?<\/strong><\/h5>

According to information gathered during our investigations, Anicet was contacted by phone by one of his colleagues, SENGIYUMVA Nordin<\/strong>, nicknamed \u201cRobati,\u201d also an informant of the intelligence services. He is said to be very close to Commissioner General of Police Brigade Domitien NIYONKURU, Director of Internal Intelligence (DDI), who, according to our sources, would be the alleged initiator of this abduction operation.<\/p>

Cross-border fuel smuggling: alleged origin of the conflict<\/strong><\/h5>

In our previous publications, we indicated that several informants operating in the Gatumba region were involved in various cross-border commercial activities.<\/p>

Vincent was notably known for his involvement in fuel smuggling from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, an activity he allegedly carried out with Franck. Anicet also entered this business but offered lower prices to customers, which created tensions with some of his associates.<\/p>

According to several testimonies, these actors were also involved in the seizure of illegally imported fuel into Burundi, after which money was allegedly demanded from owners in exchange for the release of their goods.<\/p>

Triggering event<\/strong><\/h5>

May 19, 2026 is considered a turning point in this case.<\/p>

According to information gathered, a close associate of Anicet allegedly contacted him to facilitate the passage of a fuel shipment from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Anicet allegedly agreed to this request but simultaneously informed Franck about the operation.<\/p>

When the vehicle transporting the fuel arrived in the Ruzizi area, along the route connecting Gatumba to downtown Bujumbura, it was intercepted by Franck and his associates.<\/p>

Investigators from King Umurundi Freedom report that the shipment included 830 jerrycans of fuel, locally known as \u201cigikinju,\u201d representing approximately 1,250 liters of fuel.<\/p>

After this interception, a sum of 5,000 US dollars was allegedly demanded in exchange for the return of the vehicle and its cargo. The owner reportedly handed this money to Anicet, considered a trusted intermediary.<\/p>

However, according to several testimonies, Anicet allegedly kept the entire amount without sharing it with the others involved. This behavior significantly worsened his relationship with his associates.<\/p>

Subsequently, some colleagues reportedly asked Vincent to intervene in order to convince Anicet to return and share part of the money. Anicet eventually apologized and handed over 1,500,000 Burundian francs. However, this arrangement did not ease tensions.<\/p>

According to several sources, this marked the beginning of a plan aimed at permanently removing him.<\/p>

How was Anicet NSENGIYUMVA\u2019s abduction allegedly prepared?<\/strong><\/h5>

Following these events, several of his associates allegedly decided to remove him from their activities.<\/p>

According to our information, old cases involving sums of money that Anicet was allegedly accused of embezzling in the past were brought back. These sums were reportedly meant to be shared with Commissioner General Domitien NIYONKURU, Director of the DDI.<\/p>

As part of this operation, Robati and Franck allegedly organized what appears to have been a setup aimed at implicating Anicet. A firearm and a document allegedly containing sensitive state security information were placed in his vehicle without his knowledge.<\/p>

These elements were later allegedly \u201cdiscovered\u201d during an intervention and presented as evidence of illegal activities and the disclosure of state secrets. This situation contributed to justifying the decision to remove him.<\/p>

Preparations of 22 May 2026<\/strong><\/h5>

On Friday, 22 May 2026, preparations were reportedly completed.<\/p>

Vincent was tasked with convincing Anicet to go to MINO RESTO BAR under the pretext of a reconciliation meeting between the different parties.<\/p>

At the same time, Robati allegedly called Anicet to offer him a lucrative commercial opportunity. According to our information, this proposal was in fact a carefully prepared trap intended for him.<\/p>

Around 7:00 p.m., Robati allegedly asked Anicet to meet him. Anicet then invited Vincent to accompany him.<\/p>

According to several testimonies, Vincent believed that Anicet was the only target and did not think he himself was in danger.<\/p>

The abduction<\/strong><\/h5>

After meeting Robati, Anicet and Vincent reportedly boarded Vincent\u2019s vehicle, a Toyota Voxy registered FA 9379, and headed toward the lakeside area.<\/p>

There, they allegedly met an unidentified man who handed them several items, including pieces of fabric and bottles of wine. These goods were loaded into the vehicle to make the situation appear like a normal commercial transaction.<\/p>

As they were about to leave, a white double-cab pickup truck without visible license plates reportedly arrived at high speed.<\/p>

Three men in civilian clothing and four police officers seated in the back reportedly exited the vehicle.<\/p>

Vincent allegedly attempted to resist using his knowledge of martial arts, which earned him the nickname \u201cMaster,\u201d but he was quickly subdued and forcibly taken away.<\/p>

According to several sources, Vincent was also taken in order to prevent him from revealing the circumstances in which Anicet had been lured to the location.<\/p>

One witness stated:<\/p>

\u201cIf Vincent had stayed at the bar with Franck, he would probably not have been taken. His role was mainly to convince Anicet to go to the place where the trap had been set.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

Which vehicle was allegedly used?<\/strong><\/h5>

According to information gathered by investigators, the double-cab vehicle used in the operation is normally assigned to Commissioner General of Police Domitien NIYONKURU.<\/p>

Several sources claim that this vehicle was made available for the operation and was already positioned near MINO RESTO BAR before the intervention.<\/p>

These same sources indicate that Robati reportedly entered this vehicle after the operation and is currently moving freely. Franck, also cited in several testimonies, is not subject to any known legal proceedings.<\/p>

Serious concerns about the fate of the disappeared<\/strong><\/h5>

In light of the circumstances described by witnesses and the information gathered during this investigation, serious concerns remain regarding the fate of Vincent NSENGIYUMVA and Anicet NSENGIYUMVA.<\/p>

King Umurundi Freedom once again calls on the competent authorities and Burundian intelligence services to provide any information that could help locate the two men and to fully clarify the circumstances of their disappearance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
