Originally from Burambira hill, Gashoho commune, Muyinga province (currently part of Buhumuza province), she currently resides in Bujumbura for professional reasons, in the Nyakabiga I neighborhood, 13th Avenue.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udd36 <strong>Situation and Background<\/strong><\/p><p>According to gathered information, Chadia MUKAREMERA left her home on the morning of February 25 to report to work at the CNIDH headquarters, located in Rohero, Avenue Muyinga, opposite IPA University. However, she never arrived at her workplace.<\/p><p>Concerned by her unusual absence, her colleagues attempted to reach her through her various phone numbers, without success. Her phones were switched off, including her WhatsApp account. The entire day of February 25 passed without any information regarding her whereabouts or condition. Neighbors also confirmed that she did not return home, heightening concerns.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udd36<strong> Disturbing Developments<\/strong><\/p><p>On the morning of February 26, 2026, Chadia remained unaccounted for. Sources indicate that CNIDH staff members undertook searches in various detention facilities, including at the headquarters of the National Intelligence Service, but without success.<\/p><p>According to additional information, her phone was briefly switched on during the afternoon of February 26, and her WhatsApp account was activated for a short period before being turned off again. These developments have intensified the fears of her family and colleagues.<\/p><p>In light of this worrying situation, the family of Chadia MUKAREMERA and her colleagues are calling on the competent authorities to make every effort to clarify her whereabouts and ensure her safety.<\/p><p>They specifically urge security services to take all necessary measures to prevent her from becoming a victim
