Following our alert, some authorities reportedly raised concerns, which ultimately led to her release.<\/p><p>On the evening of Monday, December 22, 2025, Juliette was released and has now returned home. She is spending the night with her loved ones.<\/p><p>We thank everyone who helped raise awareness and support her release, especially since no charges were ever filed against her.<\/p><p>We also call for an end to the practice of treating Burundians returning from Rwanda \u2014 a neighboring country \u2014 as enemies.
