NYANDWI Bosco, known as Ntaco, 45 years old, married and the father of twelve children, was abducted on the morning of Tuesday, December 30, 2025, while he was traveling to Bubanza (western Burundi) for a land dispute case.
He lives in Kirekura, in Ntahangwa Commune, in the current Province of Bujumbura.<\/p>

\ud83d\udd36 Abducted on his way to court<\/p>

The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. The victim was waiting for transportation on the road leading to Bubanza when a white double-cab pickup truck with no visible license plates stopped nearby.
Six men were inside the vehicle, including four wearing police uniforms and two in civilian clothes.
The men reportedly apprehended him without presenting any warrant, forcibly put him into the vehicle, and drove toward downtown Bujumbura, to a place locally known as \u201cku Muzinda.\u201d<\/p>

\ud83d\udd36 An Imbonerakure member mentioned in the case<\/p>

According to several witnesses, a local Imbonerakure member (youth wing of the ruling CNDD-FDD party), SIBOMANA Jean de Dieu, had been seen earlier near the victim\u2019s home, holding a phone. He appeared to be monitoring NYANDWI Bosco\u2019s movements.<\/p>

Following the abduction, local residents apprehended SIBOMANA and took him to the police station, where they were received by a commissioner identified as Claude.
\ud83d\udd36 Names cited, but little clarification<\/p>

Questioned by the police, SIBOMANA reportedly admitted to having been in contact with the presumed perpetrators of the abduction. He cited in particular:
Pacifique BIGIRIMANA, a member of the military;
Amos NIYOKWIZERA, an Imbonerakure known in the area.
However, he did not reveal the identity of the masterminds. Suspicions remain that some of the civilians in the vehicle may correspond to the individuals mentioned.<\/p>

\ud83d\udd36 A disappearance still unexplained<\/p>

The Imbonerakure member is currently being held at \u201cku Muzinda.\u201d
The whereabouts of NYANDWI Bosco remain unknown, fueling fear and anger within the community, which is demanding swift explanations from security authorities. The case may be linked to the land dispute involving the victim.<\/p>
