This advocacy is based on <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">credible evidence<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> from our field investigations, reports, and whistleblowing. We use this data to demand <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">policy changes, justice for victims, and institutional accountability<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> at all levels of governance.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3352\" data-end=\"3970\"><span dir=\"auto\">At the <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">national level<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> , we collaborate with ministries, parliamentary committees, judicial bodies, and independent institutions to share our findings and formulate concrete recommendations. We advocate for the adoption of laws and policies that strengthen the protection of human rights, combat corruption, and guarantee victims access to justice and reparations. We also work with local civil society organizations to <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">amplify citizens&#8217; voices<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> and ground our advocacy in the lived realities of Burundian communities.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"3972\" data-end=\"4605\"><span dir=\"auto\">At the <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">international level<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> , we cooperate with regional and global human rights mechanisms\u2014including the <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">African Commission on Human and Peoples&#8217; Rights<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> , the <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">UN Human Rights Council<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> , and partner NGOs\u2014to raise international awareness of local abuses and ensure they are addressed through appropriate diplomatic and legal channels. Our representatives regularly participate in consultations, parallel reports, and special sessions where we present <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">credible evidence<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> of violations and call for concrete follow-up measures.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"4607\" data-end=\"5160\"><span dir=\"auto\">We believe that lasting change is achieved through <\/span><span dir=\"auto\">strategic dialogue rather than confrontation<\/span><span dir=\"auto\"> . This is why King Umurundi Freedom prioritizes constructive relationships with state institutions while maintaining its independence and integrity.
