Good news about the person abducted yesterday.

Mrs. NTANDIKIYE Collise Found Alive, but in a Concerning Condition. What Is Behind Her Abduction?

Yesterday, we issued an alert regarding the disappearance of Mrs. NTANDIKIYE Collise, 50 years old, who was abducted in the evening by presumed intelligence agents between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in Bujumbura.

Later that night, around 12:10 a.m., she was abandoned by the same agents not far from the Red Cross headquarters, on the avenue leading to BANCOBU (former site of the U.S. Embassy). She was visibly weakened, unable to speak, and showed signs of physical violence. Passersby immediately assisted her and took her to the hospital.

She is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Bujumbura whose identity we cannot disclose for security reasons. According to our sources, her condition is considered critical but stable.

🔶 What could be the cause of this abduction?

No official statement has been made so far. However, several sources mention an old conflict with another woman who had been imprisoned for assaulting one of Mrs. NTANDIKIYE’s children. According to some testimonies, this woman had threatened revenge upon her release and may have sought the assistance of intelligence services.

The organization King Umurundi Freedom does not confirm this hypothesis, but considers it an element that should not be ignored, based on several testimonies.

➡ We call on the authorities to guarantee Mrs. NTANDIKIYE’s protection and to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances of her abduction.

🙏 Thanks to everyone who contributed to her rescue and to those who shared our alert. Your solidarity was invaluable.
